Veterans
Those who served deserve dignity, not policies that strip their rights.
Courtney Heard served in the U.S. Navy. Her commitment to veterans is not a talking point. It is the reason she is running.
The Challenge
What District 68 families are actually facing
Georgia's Homeless Veterans Conservatorship allows the state to strip rights from veterans without adequate due process protections. Veterans who have served and sacrificed should not return home to find their autonomy challenged by a system that was designed to help them but operates without sufficient accountability. Beyond this specific policy, Georgia's veterans face gaps in healthcare access, workforce transition support, and housing stability that no state with the resources of Georgia should permit.

What Courtney Says
The argument in her own words.
"I wore the uniform. My commitment to veterans is not a campaign position. It is personal."
"The Homeless Veterans Conservatorship strips rights from people who served this country. That is not how Georgia should treat its veterans. I will fight to repeal it."
"Veterans deserve dignity and independence when they come home, not a bureaucratic system that questions their autonomy."
"Healthcare, housing, and job training for veterans are not luxury programs. They are obligations Georgia owes to the people who served."
"A representative who is a veteran understands what transition looks like from the inside. I do. And I will fight for every veteran in this district."
